I'm an applied AI practitioner, a published scientist, and an Information Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy. I build tools for my fellow Information Warriors, and several of them are now used in operations.

One is OrbitWatch, which reports satellite maneuvers to space officers. Another is a weather viewer for operational forecasting, running on models I trained myself. And there's Bob, the agent I built so four of us in the military could stay in touch across time zones.

I served ten years on active duty, and I've had the good fortune to lead some great teams along the way. I'm in the Reserve now, and what I'd like to do next is help bring AI and machine learning to the intelligence community and the Department of Defense, and help their leaders understand what's available and how to use it.
