Cards is an unofficial community study tool. It is not a Navy or DoD system, and community votes do not turn an answer into official guidance.
Good contributions
Create original flashcards from public references, personal study notes, board preparation, or permissible recollection. Cite a public source when possible. Mark each recalled answer honestly as source verified, confident, or needing confirmation. Vote based on accuracy—not whether you like the author.
Never upload
- Classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information, export-controlled material, or information marked for official use only.
- Ship movements, schedules, capabilities, vulnerabilities, rosters, deployment details, or other operational information.
- Names, contact details, medical or personnel records, credentials, or other personal information.
- Protected exam banks, access-controlled course material, or content you agreed not to reproduce. Recollection does not override an NDA, exam rule, copyright, or access restriction.
- Harassment, impersonation, malware, spam, or illegal content.
Training recall decks
A recall deck must be clearly labeled and treated as fallible community memory—not an official answer key. Training changes, questions differ, and recollections can be wrong. Use accuracy votes and reports to flag problems, then verify against current authoritative material.
Visibility
Private means author-only. Unlisted means anyone with the link can open it. Public decks may appear in search and on the home page. New and edited shared decks remain author-only while automated copy editing and safety screening runs. Do not use a visibility setting as a security control for sensitive material; sensitive material does not belong here at all.
Moderation
Automated review standardizes mechanical writing details and flags questionable material for a human; it does not certify factual accuracy or official status. Report incorrect, sensitive, copyrighted, abusive, or personal content from a deck or card. Content and accounts may be restricted or removed to protect Sailors and the service.
