About this project
Hey—we’re Sean and Derek. This is EM Spectrum Explorer.
The electromagnetic spectrum is where modern naval operations are won and
lost—communications, radar, navigation, electronic warfare—and it is usually
taught as a wall of tables. This site turns those tables into one zoomable
picture: browse from the seven classic regions all the way down to a single
allocation block, switch between the nomenclatures different communities use,
and see exactly which systems—military and civilian—occupy every slice.

intended for learning, not operations — do not use it for operational

sources (ITU, FCC, NTIA, service fact sheets) and simplified for teaching —
